Specialisation

CESMED is devoted to:

• Supporting and encouraging private sector, especially SMEs, their investments and growth so as to develop global competitiveness;

• Strengthening and stimulating public policy for SMEs development; coordinating with civil society, private sector, government, multilateral and non-government agencies for supporting development agenda;

• Investing knowledge and experiences in people including women –who are entrepreneurial; development of technology, infrastructure, World trade and markets for attracting public and private sector investments;

• Assisting countries undergoing transition to buildup market-based economy, inter alia, through SMEs;

• Institutional development, capacity building and sensitizing banks development financial institutions to the emerging needs of economy;

CESMED endeavors to achieve these by organizing advocacy, advisory role, training, seminars, workshops, capacity building programme, business development services (BDS) for financial system, studies, research and publications.
